'God in the details'

Steve went to Dr. Freeman, his orthopaedic surgeon, yesterday and got a great report. Steve's bones have healed and his leg extention is beyond what Dr. Freeman thought it would ever be.
He said that Steve may walk without the crutches if and when he can. Steve goes very short distances without using them but can't do it too much because it will cause him to hurt for hours. However, with PT his legs will get stronger (that will help compensate for no knee caps) and his stamina will increase. The doctor told him it will take about a year to get back to where Steve hopes to be. The physical therapist asked Steve the other day what he hoped to gain from PT. Steve said, "I want to be able to play outside with my grandchildren." I just loved that!

"The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." Isaiah 58:11
