'God in the details'
MERRY CHRISTMAS !! I hope each of you have had a wonderful day so far. It's been a very special Christmas for us. We are just so grateful for the many blessings this year that we have received. This day we celebrate the birth of Christ and remember that He is the reason for those blessings.
Steve received the results of his EEG and they came back normal, at least that is what he told me. :) So.... it appears that most of the memory problems and other cognitive issues will eventually straighten out, only time and prayer now.
I received encouraging news on my test results. Everything appears to be benign. They did an ultrasound, just to be on the safe side. I'm still waiting for results but I feel good about things now. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

'God in the details'
It's been awhile... you'd think I would have more time now that Steve is way more independent than 6 mos. ago. Steve is now driving - can you believe it?? However, he prefers not to drive real long distances due to pain in the hips and legs. Also sitting or standing for any length of time is very uncomfortable for him. More good news.. his stamina is increasing and his PT workouts are getting more and more challenging.
We still do not have the results on the EEG but we were given the results on the nerve conduction test. He has the nerve pain because he stretched his nerves in the fall (stretched mine too) or it happened in the reconstruction process-or both. It may or may not heal and it may or may not take awhile. In other words, they don't know. In spite of the above info, his orthopaedist reminded him that it has only be 6 mos. and that it would take at least a year for some things to really heal up. He is a walking miracle as it is. God is so good.
Now on another note...I have a prayer request for me. Please pray that my mammogram (which was today) and following test (don't know when yet) reveal that things are benign.
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16
