'God in the details'
Since I last blogged, things have been up and down. Well... it's more like, Steve has been up and down. Physically Steve is healing each day but the obvious improvement of the use of his legs has slowed down. He is now in the longer, slower and still painful process of building muscle and improving the flexion and extention of his legs (it's hard to compensate for no knee caps). They push him hard at rehab which is what he wants but that wipes him out for the rest of the day.
I think, in one of the blogs, I mentioned that Steve was having some cognitive problems and that we were hoping it was just from all of the trauma, surgeries and medications. He is still having those problems and it may very well be from the above reasons however, he has been referred to a neurologist and we are going tomorrow. Between the lack of stamina, the pain, the long rehab looming in front of him and this 'cognitive stuff ' going on, his concerns about the future and his ability to provide are becoming overwhelming.
Please pray for Steve to heal mentally and physically and to have hope for the future. I know that God has a plan for us and will use this to his glory.
"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast." 1 Peter 5:10
