God in the details.
Yesterday after being 'fever free' all day Steve spiked a fever of 103.2 last night. My first reaction was worry. It was obvious he didn't feel well (relatively speaking). I should say, as well as he had felt all that day.
"Be still and know that I am God" came to me, my favorite 'calming' verse. I took a deep breath and prayed over Steve. I left concerned but not worried. I went back to the hotel, checked the blog and there were all of your wonderful, encouraging, and loving comments . What a blessing that was. Yes, worry does creep back in and again I have to remind myself to be still and listen to that still quiet voice.
Please pray for Steve, 'no fever-no infection. '
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:17
Yes, God is in the details.
Love and Blessings,
Priscilla

Priscilla,
ReplyDeleteYou have been in my thoughts and prayers daily since I heard about the accident last week. Be sure during this difficult time that you lean on God, your family and your friends...for they will be the ones to help carry you through this. I love you both very much and am praying Steve has a quick recovery - he is a strong man and will get through this with the love and support you show him every day. Praying for 'no-fever, and no infection' -
With Love,
Courtney Horsager
