'God in the details'

This afternoon they took Steve off the ventilator, again. He is not doing as well as they had expected him to do. His oxygen level is good but his respiration rate is too high (breaths per min.). He needs to slow down his breathing or he will have to have the ventilator reinserted in order for them to do a tracheotomy. Please pray that his breathing slows down and evens out. It was so frustrating for me to see him laboring so hard to breath. But...as only God can do, He put the perfect words in front of me...

"I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43: 1b-3a

To quote a friend of mine, "God is good all of the time and all of the time God is Good."

'God is in the details'

Love and blessings,
Priscilla

  1. You continue to bless my heart as you live out your faith each day. I went back and re-read all the posts to review the many details that reflect the Lord's presence in your lives during this very tumultous time.
I thought about you guys as I came across these verses tonight:
"Hear our cry, O God; Attend to our prayers. From the ends of the earth we will cry to You, when our hearts are overwhelmed; Lead us to the ROCK; You have been a shelter for Steve and Priscilla and for all of us, a strong tower! We will trust in the shelter of your wings. You are the God who does wonders!" Psalm 61:1-4, 77:14
"Your word has given us life." Psalm 119:50
Praying you and Steve will feel the comfort of those sheltering wings of our precious Lord and Savior. Love and prayers! Twila
