'God in the details'
Well...we had a little set back. Steve hadn't felt well all week but on Wed he really felt bad. Our family Doc sent him to the hospital on Thurs. and late afternoon today Steve had his gallbladder removed. It most likely had to do with the ICU stay...They also took a biopsy of his liver. His liver enzymes were really high. We are praying that it is from the gallbladder issue and the trauma and not from blood received in the hospital. Steve is doing well, the surgery went great and hopefully he will be home tomorrow.
Oh, when Steve got to the doctors office, the doctor looked at him and said, "You don't look good. I'm sending you to the hospital. Test done in the office don't show up anything but my 'gut feeling' says you need to be treated now!" I'm so glad she went on her 'gut feeling.' We know Who is in the details.
"Speak Lord, for your servant is listening." 1 Sam. 3:9

ReplyDeleteHey! So, so sorry to hear about these complications. I love how God has provided the perfect words for your situation. . .His word is truly our daily bread! God's word always says it best. He is faithful and I am thankful He has anointed His words to comfort our hearts for such a time as this! Despite the complications Steve has experienced, I can not get over how quickly he has progressed. . .way ahead of schedule with the ambulation, etc! I hate I have not been able to catch up with you. I've been working a lot of extra days and we have had some out of town company on my off time. I'll call you this next week when I'm off so we can catch up. In the meantime, please know you all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
